After a couple months of touring with friends, I have managed to settle down for the season in the lovely Dawson City! After a long, adventurous summer, I await the grip of winter, ready to learn at SOVA, and ready to hunker down and focus on creating and becoming a part of the Dawson community.
Hello, friends! Today we finished up the recordings for Drawin Wolf’s first album, Write About the Childhood Coat, to be released within the next couple weeks! I will be releasing a zine of lyrics and drawings when I make the album available for download on my bandcamp! You will be able to purchase it online for $10, and for $7 in person! I am very excited deeply appreciative of everyone who’s helped make this project possible, and enjoyable!
Dreampipe Collective made an Etsy shop the other day, where you can purchase our latest patches, zines and herbal remedies.
We’ve been busy in the Dreampipe so far this season, and we’re really excited about where we’ve gone and where we’re going with our work. On October 20th, we had an art show and open mic at the Herbal Clinic & Dispensary. It was cozy and intimate and all other kinds of wonderful. Days later, on the 25th, we brought our suitcase and instruments to a bridge in the east end and we played and enjoyed a chilly evening (with occasional warmth provided by Caela’s homemade veggie stew, a bonfire and multiple layers) under the bridge with friends. Click here for more photos!
Dreampipe Collective will be tabling and playing a set at LoveHoldLetGo’s Toronto Show on Nov 6th
I will be presenting my art at Etobicoke School of the Art’s Portfolio Day and Portfolio Day After-Party/Art Sale.
Here is what I am up during my favourite season of all
Fall Issue of Izzine
I have completed and will soon be printing the fall issue of Izzine! This season features an interview with artist Noel’le Longhaul of Providence, Rhode Island, aswell as the work of local Toronto Artist, Monica Creep. This issue also shares recipes for spicy potatoes, calming herbal teas and some of the poetry and art from Sienna Ingham, of Toronto. (PDF version coming soon!)
My goal, with this zine, is to spread word of local-and-beyond artists who I believe have much to contribute to radical communities through what they create and share with us. Email me if you are interested in purchasing a copy!
Dreampipe Collective’s First Art Show
Come enjoy an evening of art, food, live music and more in the back of the Herbal Clinic & Dispensary in Roncesvalles Village!
Art, zines, prints, shirts, patches and a further plethora of curiosities will all be for sale. Otherwise, the event is totally free. Of course, we expect attendees to treat one another and the space with respect. Come enjoy art and music with your community.
